It is a great honor to have two amazing Polish artist, poets, performers, cultural animators and activists, Daria Danuta Lisiecka and Adam Radosz, as our Inaugural, Summer 2026, Guests at Theater Doppelganger.
We are pleased to showcase their collaboration on a book project titled: "Theater is a strange singular theater. The Story of KRAM'86 Theater in the Voices of a Few Actors and a Handful of Fans" - a retrospective monograph of the life and work of the group of people who constituted themselves as Theater KRAM'86 and continued together on that theater experimental performance journey for several years afterwards. I was part of KRAM'86 ansamble from its inception in the Summer of 1986 until the Summer of 1989. It is a wonderful to see that incredible experience we shared with each other and - as a group - with our audiences, fans, and often just random passersby, inscribed and documented in this format.

Daria Danuta Lisiecka – poet, performer, editor, and cultural animator. Winner of numerous theater and literary competitions. Her work has been translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Ukrainian. She is the founder and artistic director of the nationwide literary festival Ogólnopolskie Spotkania Poetów BIAŁA LOKOMOTYWA (The "White Locomotive" National Meetings of Poets), which has been running since 1999. She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
She has authored several poetry books: „Teatr moich wierszy” ("The Theater of My Poems", 1999), „mgnienia” ("Glimpses", 2020), „pieśni niczyje/ skoki do nieba” ("Nobody's Songs / Leaps to Heaven", 2026), as well as a volume of poetic prose, „Obłoki nad bulwarem” ("Clouds over the Boulevard", 2022). She has compiled, edited, and provided commentary for the following publications: „BIAŁA LOKOMOTYWA - festiwal literacki w Łazieńcu” ("WHITE LOCOMOTIVE - literary festival in Łazieniec", 2021), the anthology „Wybrane z rozkładu jazdy” ("Selected from the Timetable", 2022), and—together with Adam Radosz—„Teatr to dziwny teatr jedyny. Opowieść o Teatrze KRAM’86 na głosy kilku aktorów i paru fanów” ("Theater is a Strange Singular Theater: The Story of KRAM'86 Theater told through the voices of several actors and a few fans", 2025).
Daria Danuta Lisiecka is a co-editor of the Babiniec Literacki magazine and hosts her own show about literature, books, styles, and the passion for reading on Radio z Qlturą, titled „Wyczytane do białości” ("Read to Whiteness"). She is also continuously carrying out an ongoing, open-ended performance project titled Teatr Moich Wierszy (Theater of My Poems).
We look forward to hosting Daria Danuta Lisiecka again later this year to present and discuss her own collective works, with the focus on the most recent poetic-performative work „pieśni niczyje/ skoki do nieba” | "Nobody's Songs / Leaps to Heaven" (2026). Adam Radosz - after KRAM'86 ended its activities in Płośnica, the employees of the GOK (County Cultural Center) asked Adam to form a theater group, much like KRAM'86 used to be. That is how the Hysterical - Diabolical Theater Born in Agony came to be. At the festival in Rypin in 1992, the group presented the performance "Here is What Was Supposed to Be Paradise on Earth." After that Adam returned to Katowice, taking on the directorship at the GOK (Communal Cultural Center) in Psary, and creating the Internal Emigrants Theater.
Two years later, he moved to the Municipal Cultural Center in Mysłowice, where he worked in the Artistic Department and ran the Dithyramb Theater, while simultaneously running the EPIDEMIA Theater of Creative Searching at the Bieruń Cultural Center. In 2003, Adam became the director of the Regional Cultural Center in Katowice, and unfortunately, he had to leave the theaters behind. In 2011, Adam became the director of the Mysłowice Cultural Center, a position he held until 2016.
Since then, Adam has run two more theaters: the Enigma Youth Theater and the most intriguing one, The Small Theater of One's Own Poetry... at the Municipal Cultural Center in Suszec. It created an interesting performance based on its own poems titled "Journey into the Interior, or on the Other Side of the Window"—the title was not entirely accidental... as the group went on a tour across Poland during the summer holidays, experiencing many beautiful adventures and emotions. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine sowed doubt among the actors, and just a few rehearsals before the premiere of the play "The Dress," the theater fell apart. It is a pity, because they were beautiful PEOPLE of extraordinary talents, curious about life and experiences. Adam subsequently retired in 2021.
